The latest in our series of seminars on Journalism and Public Responsibility featured Onora O’Neill, Cambridge philosopher and former President of the British Academy. She presented on ‘Journalism and Trust: Ethics for Mediated Communication.’ As with all of our seminars, a recording is available on our Podcasts page. Also of interest is Professor O’Neill’s article from the European Journal of Philosophy, entitled ‘Ethics for Communication?‘.
Seminars continue on Wednesday, 24 February, when philosopher David Oderberg presents, ‘What Plato Can Teach the Media’ (4:00 pm, Lecture Room 2, Christ Church).
This study of Journalism and Public Responsibility is a joint project of the McDonald Centre for Theology, Ethics & Public Life, and the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. Both are research institutes of the University of Oxford.
